Strange Exposures: Recreating a Pop-Culture Image

One of our Lighting class assignments is to recreate a photo from pop-culture. Whether it be an album cover, music video, TV poster, etc.

Since I’m obsessed with the super-popular Netflix series Stranger Things, I decided to create my own version of the posters.

To set up, I used two flashes on stands, picked a pink and blue gel, (one for each flash), and set up the flashes to try to recreate the images as perfectly as possible. I named it “Strange Exposures” as reference to photography and the strange lighting. I’m so happy with the outcome:
